Ever since we started out as wedding photographers, we’ve always looked out for the special opportunities to be part of a destination wedding. We’ve been extremely fortunate to have been able to travel for a handful of weddings, mostly within neighboring states, with exceptions to Maine and Florida. However, one area we’ve had our eyes and hearts set on since the beginning was Colorado.

Having traveled there a few times, we knew with the incredible scenery how it would make for such an amazing backdrop for someone’s special day.

Enter Karey and Michelle. Located just outside of Golden, CO, at Boettcher Mansion. A top of Lookout Mountain, providing spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains and with a charming forest. Their wedding was able to provide everything we had imagined for such a location.

Now, a little bit about these two before we let the photos take you away. We’ve know Karey and Michelle for quite some time now. Michelle and Kristen being college friends and maintaining a close friendship ever since. Opportunities took the couple out west where they settled in around Denver. When we received the invite to not only be guests at their wedding, but to be offered the chance to be the photographers for their day, there was just no way we could say no.

Being able to work with these two, who we hold so near and dear to us, was in itself an honor. Add in the fact we were also able to cross off one of our top location on our bucket list was just the super-sized cherry on top of an already amazing day.

Karey and Michelle, we wish you both nothing but the best, and we simply cannot thank you enough for having us be a part of your special day.
