Today we are thrilled to share Chris and Maggie’s wedding day with you all on our blog! The second of three out of state weddings for us this year. A day that brought us out of our state of Connecticut, and down to New Rochelle, New York. This was our first trip down towards the city for a wedding, and hopefully won’t be the last.
The day started late morning as we arrived at the hotel where Chris and Maggie were getting ready. Celebrations were already in full swing as the couple prepared for their big day in their respective rooms with family and members of their wedding party. The ceremony was held at a church over in Yonkers. Fighting traffic to and from, but no issues whatsoever! After a beautiful mass, wedding party and guests headed back to New Rochelle and out to Glen Island Harbour Club. An absolute gorgeous venue overlooking Long Island Sound, with a super friendly and accommodating staff.
From here, the rest of the celebrations and festivities took place. Combating the early October sunsets, we gathered up Chris, Maggie, and wedding party for some quick photos overlooking the water, and then ushered everyone in for cocktail hour and out of the wind. Let me tell you something, this venue sure knows how to put out a spread. I’m not sure how anyone even ate the main course once it came around.
First dances, speeches, and good times helped cap off one special day. Chris and Maggie were terrific. Two people with the utmost love and admiration towards one another. Something we noticed since the beginning when we first met.
Thank you both, for everything and having us along to capture your wedding day!
